Welcome to the cosplay blog

I am going to try and write a semi-regular blog to talk about my experiences with cosplay as well as the learning process I have used. They’re probably going to be a jumbled mess of thoughts and feelings but hopefully somewhere where I can create a more long-form piece of content. To start with, I am going to be writing a couple of blogs about some techniques I have been using as well as some of the photoshoots I have been to.

As someone who hasn’t shot much portraiture, everything has been a steep learning curve. I have found after shooting for a couple of months, I have started to discover images which have worked as well as some photographic techniques I have started to transfer over to cosplay without even knowing. The best images created by everyone, tell a powerful story, from the original photo taken to the editing work after the fact. The photographic techniques such as the ones I will talk about in the future, massively aid in creating that story, bringing still life alive.
